Hey from a hairy newbie

Hey everyone <waves wildly>. I'm Z, and I am covered in both Anais and Ling hair (that's dog and cat, respectively). Both animals are black, furry, lazy city animals that shed like it's nobody's business, so I think this tribe applies to me.

Most recently, I have become so desperate to get the cat hair off of my comforter cover that I have resorted to using long strips of duct tape rather than the vac. I feel stupid, but it works. I find myself dumping between five and six containers full of Anais,Ling, and Z hair out of the removable vaccum compartment each time I vac my small apartment, which is about 3 times a week (thank god my husband doesn't shed too). I finally decided to listen to my mother when she said that I should start brushing Anais every single day (Anais is a lab mix and has the hair length just short of a golden or a border collie). Meanwhile, Ling the cat looks like a black fur stole but seems to shed much less than Anais, and yet, her hair is stickier on the furniture. Go figure.

Anyway, love the tribe and can't wait to exchange eyedeers.

    Hi guys
Zed, I couldn't help but laugh, I too gave up quite some time ago on the lint brush/roller/newfangeledvelvateen thingies for the roll of duct tape... I just got two, (super sweet) fuzzy bigheads, in full-on shed mode, (their white fur ALL over my Goth attitude)
I have a black/gray comforter, I thought I was doing pretty good with the brushing, and coving everything with towels... Not so much it seems. I came to work the other day, and looked down to see that the entire bottom of my black jacket was white with fur, as was the back of my shirt from laying back on my bed those 2 minutes I had to spare before going to work.. a lady posted something (on another tribe probably), that she just tells everyone she's so rich, she had everything covered with fur.. I liked this excuse quite a bit, and told her I was going to steal it. It does not seem however to comfort me in the face of mounting allergies. As the weather gets warmer I just remind myself, "don't rub your eyes, to rub them is to die"... and then I bury my face in their big ol bellies and blow raspberries. Oh yes, I am a masochist.
