What do you do?
I have 2 wonderfully sweet and adorable older cats - both declawed and spade/nuetered - totally loving, not a mean bone in their bodies.
I also have a newborn on the way - Due Sept. 7th.
Any suggestions on how to maintain a happy and harmonious home for the kitties and the baby?
The father has the baby room hermetically sealed - nearly.
What has worked for you?

Re: Cats and Newborns
Sat, August 11, 2007 - 10:55 AMI'm not a parent myself, but I've had several close friends who raised healthy babies in harmony with housecats by just keeping the house clean and vacuumed and keeping the litter box clean and very seperate from baby areas. Cats instinctually keep a wary distance from newborns anyway.

Sat, August 11, 2007 - 8:05 PMI've never had any problems with cats and my kids. I honestly think that they are good spirits to have around babies.
